Volunteers from the Scientology Community Centre Dublin brought drug-prevention education to the Clondalkin Festival in Ireland, sharing factual information with families, young people and local residents in a busy community setting.
The activity, described by organisers as a Clondalkin day of meaningful conversations, placed the subject of drugs in a constructive and accessible context. Volunteers distributed educational booklets, answered questions and spoke with visitors about prevention, resilience and informed choices.
The outreach was connected to the broader Truth About Drugs campaign, which uses booklets, videos and educational resources to communicate straightforward facts about drug use and its consequences.
The activity reflected the Church of Scientology’s broader commitment to social betterment, including prevention, education and community service inspired by the work of L. Ron Hubbard.
Ivan Arjona, who represents the Church of Scientology before European and international institutions, said the Clondalkin outreach showed how civil society can contribute to healthier communities. “When volunteers bring factual information to public spaces with respect and care, they strengthen the fabric of local life,” he said.
